Attorneys continue to hunt Bulog's ex boss assets
JAKARTA (Antara): Attorney General's Office (AGO) continues to hunt assets owned by former chief of the National Logistic Agency Widjanarko Puspoyo, who is detained for a number of graft allegations.
Director for AGO's Specific Crime Investigation M. Salim said that his office has received reports from the prosecutors' office in Surakarta, West Java about a number of properties owned by Widjanarko and his relatives.
"There are six plots of land (and buildings) -- three owned by WP (Widjanarko) and the three others owned by his relatives," Salim was quoted by Antara news agency as saying Tuesday, adding that his office had received confirmation from theNational Agrarian Body.
Salim said investigators would closely looked to the finding to know that those properties were obtained illegally.
Initially, Widjanarko was only accused of involving in a fictive procurement of cows from Australia, but later, he was also accused of receiving illegal gifts from his business partners when Indonesia imported rice from Vietnam.
During the investigations, prosecutors have questioned and will question a number of Widjanarko's relatives -- his wife, children, and a brother. (**)
